On a sunny but chilly January day, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Mitch’s engagement session at the stunning Adriatica Village in McKinney, Texas. This location was handpicked by the couple for its beautiful “European feel,” which was so fitting because Stephanie and Mitch got engaged at St. Peter’s Square. Choosing Adriatica brought a little bit of that special moment into their engagement photos, and honestly—it couldn’t have been more perfect.
From the start, Stephanie and Mitch brought such sweet and fun vibes to the session. They had a clear idea of what they wanted, and Mitch had even scoped out some beautiful spots ahead of time, making the whole experience feel extra thoughtful and collaborative. One of my favorite discoveries was this incredible large wooden arched door—it made for the dreamiest backdrop and felt straight out of a European fairytale.
But what made this session truly magical wasn’t just the location—it was Stephanie and Mitch themselves.
As the wind blew and temperatures dropped, Stephanie and Mitch smiled and laughed through it all like absolute pros. When I posed them looking at each other, something about the way they locked eyes just radiated love. It’s the kind of chemistry that makes you stop and think, this is what true connection looks like.
There was one heartwarming moment that stood out to me. While I was adjusting my settings for the brighter light, Mitch and Stephanie were standing chest to chest. Mitch gently tucked Stephanie’s hair behind her ear and looked at her with so much love. The sunset was pouring down on them in that moment—it was a dream to capture.
Stephanie and Mitch are more than just an amazing couple—they are also our first booked destination wedding of 2025! They’ll be tying the knot this September at The Emerald Grande in Destin, Florida, and I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their big day. If their engagement session is any indication, it’s going to be an unforgettable celebration.
Sometimes it takes a little time to warm up in front of the camera, but Stephanie and Mitch were naturals from the moment I lifted my lens. Their ease and fun energy made the entire session a joy to photograph. Whether it was Mitch cracking jokes or Stephanie lighting up with a smile, every moment felt authentic and effortless.
I hope these photos not only capture their love but also serve as a reminder of the fun we had on that cold January day. Years from now, I hope they’ll look back at these images and see just how much their love has grown.
